CAN Lab’s Suma Jacob, M.D., Ph.D. and Angela Tseng, Ph.D. (Psychiatry and Behavioral Science) build collaboration with faculty in UMN’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Molly McCue, D.V.M., Ph.D. (Veterinary Population Medicine) and James Mickelson, Ph.D. (Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences) to investigate canine traits and behaviors associated with autism-assistance dog success, ultimately improving training outcomes and behavioral and genetic selection of potential assistance dogs.
